Advanced Energy Conversion is a New
York State Limited Liability Company, and was founded in May of
1997. Drs. David A. Torrey and James M. Kokernak formed AEC in
order to pursue the commercialization of electric machine technology
they were developing through sponsored research at
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Since its formation, AEC has
grown through development programs focused on the commercialization
of electric machine systems for industrial, distributed generation,
military and automotive applications.
