AEC helps keep NYC cabs clean
Advanced Energy Conversion was featured
in the Times Union on August 20, 2004, in a story about our rapid-starter/generators
installed in MetroKing taxis in New York City. The hybrid cabs run
on compressed natural gas; under the hood is a system that
shuts off the engine when the cab is stopped, saving fuel and cutting
air pollution, and restarts it in a heartbeat. The system also generates
electricity for the car.
